ACM CyberWeek

Knowledge is a weapon that holds power; the power to open the doors that lead us to progress and advancement. It’s a possession not anyone could ever take away from us.

Here at IBU ACM Student Chapter, knowledge is what we strive for. With that, we are incredibly happy to pronounce the ending of yet another successful educational activity.

Cyber Week has begun on the 19th of December and lasted for five consecutive days, having reached a showing of over a hundred participants (on average) during every single day. We are honored to be able to have given the opportunity to expand their knowledge to over 200 students of the Burch University, but none of it would have been possible without the five experts in the industry who lent us their helping hands.

We are thankful for having Dino Mustafić, Rijad Dacić, Nedim Karavdić, Vedad Mandra and Haris Muhibić for they have taken their time to share their stories with us, showing us what it takes to someday build our own career paths as successful individuals. Aside from physical Certificates of appreciation, the five experts were awarded with the Certificates in NFT forms on the Polygon Network.

So, what’s next?

There are many more activities and projects being prepared, so make sure to stay tuned to see what’s coming up!

Second Meeting and Movie Night

As the Midterm exam season had been seen off, it was surely a time to have fun and relax a bit.

A Thursday evening of the 8th of December was spent in an advantageous manner; IBU ACM Student Chapter members had the opportunity to be familiarized with the voting results of the new organizational team members and the upcoming events and projects. Once the technicalities were concluded, the members of the club had a chance to enjoy a movie night.

U srijedu 27.10.2021. godine održan je "IBU Club Day" u organizaciji SAC-a (Student Activity Center) i Internacionalnog Burch Univerziteta, gdje su svi studentski klubovi dobili priliku da promovišu svoje aktivnosti. Ponosni smo na činjenicu da se na "IBU Club Day", našem klubu pridružila 62 člana. Zahvaljujemo svim članovima kluba koji su radili na pripremi i promociji našeg kluba na "IBU Club Day".

We would like to extend a grand thank you to Adna for taking the time to come and talk to us. Thank you for sharing your valuable input and knowledge. We believe that while workshops of this type have been harder to organise during the pandemic they are all the more worth it. Time management is something that everyone seems to think about more. We hope to have you again soon, perhaps in person, perhaps with even bigger events.

Hour of Code 2020

From December 7th to December 11th, IBU ACM Student Chapter together with Centar za promociju civilnog društva organized the Hour of Code 2020.

Students from many primary and high schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in five workshops (SQL, Basics of Python, Web Development Beginner, Web Development Advanced and C#) where they learned the basics of programming languages and started to develop their first applications.
